Static Web Page

Static Web Page From its name, you must have understood that this is such a page. Where everything never changes, the page remains fixed, and no one can change them. These static web pages are the same for every new and old user. Whenever you open the Website, you must see the pages whose content never changes. Those pages appear the same to everyone. But some sites, such as Facebook.com, keep changing page contents and different web pages for other users.

Dynamic Web Page

The complete form of the URL is Uniform Resource Locator. This is a formatted text string used in Web Browser, email clients or any other software to find any Network Resources. Network resources can be any files such as Web Pages, Text Documents, Graphics or Programs.

Domain

A domain name only tells the name of your Website. Only through this can people access the Website; this is the identity of the Website. The name of the Website can be written only by letter and number. A domain name is used to identify one or more IP addresses. Like Microsoft.com, this is a domain name; you all may be aware of it. The domain name is written in the URL to identify a specific webpage.

Every day you use the Internet to get information and open many types of Blogs or Websites.

All these are different types of Websites. But we can divide these types into two parts if all these types are seen. 

1. Static Website

 2. Dynamic Website

So let us now know in detail about the type of Website.

1. Static Website

Static Website is a website whose web pages are stored in a format sent to a client web browser. In simple words, Static Website is a fundamental type of Website that can be easily created.

For this, you do not need any web programming and database design knowledge, but you can easily create a static website without it. Its web pages are coded in HTML.

Its codes are fixed for each page so that whatever information is present does not change in a page; hence, it looks just like a printed page.

2. Dynamic Website

A dynamic Website is a website that changes or customizescustomizes itself many times and automatically. Simply put, a dynamic website is a collection of dynamic web pages whose content changes dynamically.

These websites access content from a database or Content Management System (CMS). In such a situation, when you make any change in the content of the database, then the content of the Website also automatically changes or gets updated.

Dynamic Website uses client-side scripting, server-side scripting, or both to generate dynamic content.

What is the difference between Webpage, Website, Web Server and Search Engine?

Often people need to learn more about these four technical terms because they are very confusing. So let's know about them and also see the difference between them.

Web page

These are documents that can be displayed in a web browser. Web browsers include Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Apple's Safari. These documents are also called "pages".

Website

It is a collection of web pages that are grouped together and are usually connected. Often a "website" is also called simply a "site".

Web Server

It is a computer that hosts a website on the Internet.

Search Engine

This website helps users find other web pages, for example, Google, Bing, or Yahoo.

To understand the abovementioned things, let us use a simple analogy – a public library. 

Let's understand whatever they do in the library:

1. First, find the search index and the title of the book you want.

2. Make a note of the catalogue number of the book.

3. Go to that particular section where you will have that book, then find the correct catalogue number, and from this, you can book yours.

Let us now compare this library with a web server:

• A library is like a web server. There are many sections in it which are similar to a web server in which multiple websites are hosted.

• Library has different sections such as science, math, history, etc. These sections are similar to websites. Each section is like a unique website (like no two sections have the same books).

• Books in Sections are like Webpages. There are many webpages of a website, such as the science section (which is a website), and there can be books on different topics like heat, sound, thermodynamics, statics, etc. (You can call these webpages).

 • In this, that search index is similar to a search engine. Each book has a unique location in the library (like two books cannot be in one place or one place) and is specified by a catalogue number.

• At the same time, webpages also have unique addresses. These particular addresses are used to retrieve a webpage from a web server. For this, the address must be typed in the address bar of the web browser.
